I loved this adorable dig, which began while I was at work and continued well in to the evening. Because Garret and Donny managed to find a dinosaur fossil (a bone that looked much like a piece of modern ceramic), I felt especially good about shoveling the 10 cubic feet of dirt back into the hole during a rainfall the following day! I was even happier to learn that several cubic feet of dirt had gone missing (I'm always looking for an excuse to go to Home Depot)! Next year I hope to level off the hole (the dirt seems to have settled even more!) and replant the grass seed (which didn't take)!
